Online lessons

Samali has taught online piano lessons internationally since 2014, making her lessons available to anyone with a keyboard/piano and an internet connection! She has taught online piano lessons to English speaking students across a wide range of countries ranging from Canada, Europe, Asia and 5 states in Australia.

Online lessons enable you to save time by eliminating the weekly commute to lessons, they do not prohibit students living in remote locations from having lessons or missing lessons due to inclement weather. Also, if you’re not feeling well enough to travel to a lesson, but still able to have a lesson, you won’t miss out! Rest assured that the online environment can be a personal, safe and convenient option for you to have piano lessons in the privacy of your own home environment on your own instrument..

“Samali has made learning piano online possible. She made sure I was set up with the proper equipment from the start and ensured that I had all the support I needed to succeed with online learning. I would highly recommend Samali for her attention to detail, quality teaching and ability to connect with students no matter where they are located.” - Anne-Marie La Salle, Psychology Student

How can I learn piano online?

Piano lessons translate very well to the online environment. Samali has a camera focused directly over her keyboard allowing for clear demonstrations. She also uses screen sharing from an iPad pro which enables her to mark up sheet music, draw diagrams on a virtual whiteboard, write on manuscript as well as keyboard images.

The Simply Music program utilises professionally recorded video and audio material which students can access online; in addition, Samali also makes her own recordings and will email digital whiteboard material to students.

“Samali has been teaching our two children in a joint lesson online for the past school term. For our kids with dyslexia , the Simply Music approach has meant they can experience the joy of playing and listening to the music they make before the pressure of reading. The learning of reading is done in such a way that they understand and master steps before moving on to the next. Samali’s skill and compassion has developed their confidence immensely. I look forward to seeing how they develop in the next 6 months and watching the magic Samali weaves.” - Jenny Reeson, Teacher and parent
